Here’s what to expect and what to bring as a first time player.
First you will want to sign up and collect any rental equipment you’ll need. This includes signing a waiver form. Your parent or guardian will need to sign the form if you are under 18. If the waiver form is not signed you cannot play! Almost every field will have markers (Paintball guns) and equipment rentals available on site.
Marker prices vary by field and by type of marker rented. Rental paintball markers come complete with a hopper and air tank. The first tank fill will most likely be included with the marker rental. Additional fills may be included with a package or extra per fill. Prices will vary from field to field.
It would be a good idea to check the field's web site or call ahead to get an idea of how much it will cost to play.
Clothing:
Long sleeved shirts and long pants, getting hit on exposed skin hurts more. Gloves and knee pads are recommended. Biking or any kind of sporting gloves even mechanics gloves from Canadian Tire work well. Running shoes or a sport shoe with cleats (Not metal cleats) work well. Do not wear anything too nice! The paint is water based and will wash off but you are going to get dirty and may wreck your fancy clothes. A bandana for your head or an old baseball cap would be a good idea.
You should also bring a change of clothes and a couple of plastic bags to put your dirty clothes in so you don't get your car full of paint and broken paint shells.
Other items you may want to bring to the field:
-Water or sport drinks
-Snacks
-Camera
